I was going to drive out to HPR yesterday to see everyone but the wind was howling in my neighborhood, which is pretty darn protected from the wind.  Decision made to not do a 2 hour round trip drive to the track just to get completely blown away there.  Sorry I missed everyone...

That is a super nice garage. I'd love to have something that nice for my shop let alone a track garage.

When you are super wealthy and like fast cars, you build an exclusive private track.  Hedge Hollow is an amazing place, especially the garage condos that line the front straight.

Tom is going first today.

Well I will have to tow down there when NASA does one of their events. Google says 4 hours south. Not too bad.

Good luck today guys.

If I won the lottery, I wouldn't tell anyone, but there would be signs...

Stark contrast.  High Plains has no running water.  Bathrooms are a porta-potty trailer (but a nice one) with an exterior water holding tank.

A self contained food truck, also.

At least, that's how it was in 2018.

The car felt pushy, so Andy is underneath making sure our rear bar is still connected.

We've got a minor brake fluid leak, so we're getting braver and braver tightening bleed screws. Hopefully this fixes it.

Andy is also keeping an eye on tire wear; so far so good.

Meanwhile, Dave Marcus and Mike King's Supra broke a charge pipe; they're working on putting it back together now.

One Lap pro tip: Always, Always, be first to the lunch line. It's only 11am; This event is hard on food trucks.

Andy's session placed 18th so far, due to some faster cars being able to put power down on the now-dry track.

Exciting news: Andy has made the CRX fast enough to cook its brakes in three laps at Hedge Hollow. We're talking strategy now to make sure we don't cook them before the checker next time.

Currently strategizing for NCM tomorrow. Rain is forecast for roughly lunch time. We need to rotate tires soon, which means mounting and dismounting. But we want our full-tread tires out back for best rain performance. Leaning towards optimizing for wear and rotating them first thing in the morning, as I seem to move up the leaderboard when it rains, anyway.

Stopped for some nuts and bolts to fix a loose exhaust hanger, burn cream for Andy's arm (touched the brake rotor while adjusting front ride height for the transit) and some E85, and now we're finally on our way to NCM.
