Congratulations!!!
Well, a rule that was well buried and somewhat vague has benched the Guac for time attack use. We were allowed to run this event but were asked to not come back with the car unless it gets extensively modded.
Not that it was any particular risk to set a fast time. The wildly underpowered NA 1.6 motor gets the aerodynamically challenged shape to a top speed of 95 mph in the long straights of NCM. Handling was surprisingly competent and the brakes are excellent but the lack of power limited my best run to a woeful 2:37.0
But it was easy enough to drive and felt safe and stable so for my first TTN experience I can't complain.

What is the rule?
In reply to gsettle :
They said that if the car came with a windshield, it had to still have a windshield of the same size and shape. So the Lotus 7 was ok with a index card sized shield but the Mini with a Luke Skywalker Speedster shield is out.
The rules appear to want cars to look more conventional.

SCCA TT rules seem heavily biased to street car, driven to the track sorts of vehicles. Is yours cut down from the original glass or a replacement?
In reply to theruleslawyer :
Plexiglass/Lexan (clear and plastic).
But yeah, the Lotus 7: ok because it started life as a car. Zoomboni: no way, it was built in a shed. Guac: needs it's windshield back.
EP/FP/XP autocross cars are also apparently out for the same reason. So the Guac may live on in EP trim as an autocross toy.
great weekend; I only got a chance to meet JG and unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet the rest of the GRM team but am proud to say that almost every car had my initials on it (somebody had to sign the tech stickers)
Great job on the podiums and safe weekend. Guacamole may not have been a rules favorite but everybody in Grid always smiled when they saw it...
Thanks again for the swag bag ;)
