Get anything good for Christmas? Tools? Car parts? A whole car?
We’d love to see what you had under your Christmas tree this year.

I got a whole car. I got it about 2-3 weeks ago but it was my Christmas present.
(I purchased the car my wife put the bow on it )
08 M5 with a factory manual transmission.
So far I've only been to my mom's and aunt/uncle last night. $40 from mom always fits.
But we did the silly white elephant thing last night, mom knew about my $15 Raising Cane's gift card but it got stolen. I opened two packs of popcorn that I can't eat but realized it had a $25 Amazon card taped between them. Being #5 I knew it would get stolen so I just held it in the air for awhile.
My cousin's wife got a $10 Chick Fil A card and a tshirt that said "Oh E36 M3 I picked the wrong white elephant gift". I said I want that shirt, don't care about the card. I'm wearing it to SWMBO's house later today.
Enough OEM parts from the land of the rising sun to keep me busy till work starts up again on the 2nd.
Merry Christmas all!
I had 3 boxes from Rockauto come last week and 1 more coming tomorrow. Merry Christmas to me from me. Bought myself another cheap used car 3 weeks ago.
We bought a grown up bed- Tempurpedic something something very berkeleying expensive and a foldy Craftmatic adjustable base for it (ok it wasn't craftmatic but I feel old as E36 M3 with a foldy bed) and swmbo treated herself to a new Xbox because mine was faster than hers. Other highlights have included a new pair of Oakleys for me because 24 pairs wasn't enough, more lightsabers (Obiwan and Darth Vader) a couple new videogames, etc etc etc. Hard to remember because we don't really DO Christmas in a conventional sense. The Xbox as an example was- We were at costco buying parchment paper and it was the cheapest deal by a country mile for a series X- and we'd been talking about buying my series X a friend.
I'll share more when the festivities die down, but my parents got me these really cool not-Lego sets.
Memory cards for GoPro
Tripod / selfie stick
ThinkPad P15 Gen2
so I promise more video from the Angry Garage in 2024

I miss that so much. My kids are all grown now. One did not make it home because they had to work. First time not all the kids were home for Christmas. A new chapter in my life has started.
The wife and I are 2500 miles from home at our winter job, but at least we are off of work today. Going to go skiing for Christmas.
I got a car insurance bill as a gift...
-Dixxon flannel shirt
-new Skechers Slip-on shoes
-Montreal Canadiens retro jersey
-a new leather belt
-a couple of thermal Tees
- and a stubby antennae for the R53 MINI I bought last month
My wife got me a Milwaukee M12 heated vest. Very nice, I can work in it with a sweatshirt or jacket over it to keep it clean and still use it for casual too. Also machine washable. Got to hang out with my sons, my nephew and his girlfriend, and my younger sons wife and my granddaughter. Made for a great time. We do most everything on Christmas Eve. Today is quiet here. A little football on tv and been in the shop some too.
I met a gentleman on the side of I-90 this afternoon who got a multipiece timing belt and 20 bent valves

I sort of went off the deep end and started spending money on the C5 project car again like a drunken sailor. Well no one else was going to buy these things for me anyways.
A set of Apex EC-7 wheels with a pair of front Michelin Pilot Sports. Front and rear Wilwood caliper kits along with front and rear Girodisc 2-pcs rotors. Once the credit card cools off and re-solidifies, I will order a pair of matching Michelin rears. Both the SKF Tracker-X bearings and HD late C6 spindles (those were birthday gifts to myself from a few months ago) are already waiting out in the garage. I can't wait to start wrenching again this coming spring, its been a long three year period with the recovery from four orthopedic surgeries

Does Dave still hold Dave Meets? I guess they aren't really RX-7 meets anymore, are they? I want a ride in this when you are done, for project car values of "done"
