Hmm, maybe I wont worry about subframe connectors yet then, just do shocks first then go from there. The reason I would prefer bolt ins is that I could remove them if I wanted to if/when it eventually comes time to sell.

Agreed, the stock wheels suck and really detract from the appearance, IMO. Once the tires wear out I likely will replace the wheels. I think the C5 Z06 wheels look pretty pimp on the fbodies.
I agree, c5 z06 wheels look pretty dang good. But they also go for too much money vs aftermarket so you've got to catch the right deal to justify them from a $$ perspective.
