Yeah, Pastrana comes to mind "Racing incident" right uh-huh

Watching some of the practice videos he's posted (like the 100 acre wood practice on youtube) you can tell his driving skill has grown ALOT over the last few years. He's only a few years deep in the sport, and he IS competitive.
I'd kill just to be able to be competitive at that level.
Flatbill brotato fanclub aside, the guy is a true, inspiring, american success story.
and he does seem like a standup guy, unlike the majority of the scene/culture that idolizes him.
I'm backing the guy, and I don't own a single fitted hat. Nope, not a single one.

I was also thinking of Sverre Isachsen.

I used to intern for Rally America in the height of the Ken and Travis show. I sat on the other side of the table from Ken at the post race dinner after the Lake Superior Pro Rally a few years back, and we had a great conversation. He is one of the most genuine and likable guys in the world. Of course he is completely overshadowed by Mr. Nice, Travis Pastrana.

I'm not a fan of his "look at how awesome I am" videos, but to use an analogy you'll understand, even the worst player on the worst team in the NHL is still an incredibly skilled hockey player.
He's racing in some pretty good company.
Zomby, I'm a transplanted America, what is this hockey you speak of
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I think most of us, given Ken's resources, could drive at his level with the same amount of time spent behind the wheel. I just don't see any magic in his driving. He's always had a huge money advantage over his competitors yet he does not dominate like he should. And when he does run with the big boys in WRC, he's not a consistent top 10.
