That thing is really, really cool. There's a basketcase willys on my craigslist for $1000. You got a screaming deal!

Fan belt looks a little loose, you got ripped off . But seriously, you'd better throw some cheap narrow ATs on it and grin ear to ear every time you put the keys in it, be sure to laugh maniacally whenever you make an errand to the bank in it.

Those are hilariously small by today's standards. Really no larger than an RZR or other side by side ATV. I grew up with these things and it never struck me how small they really were until fall 2008 when I stood outside Michie Stadium and saw an original WW2 loaded with 5 veterans drive out onto the field at halftime. Following right behind was a brand new JKU supplied by one of the local dealers. It really put things into perspective
We we draged it to the Mio area in northern michigan. when we arrived the rear brakes were out, by the time we left we had no brakes at all. It did run and drive very well though. here are a few photos.

Well bought sir! Looks like a blast.
Closest thing I found on local CL was this, for 4 times what you paid.
Thanks for all the kind comments. we have had alot of fun with it so far, but it all add up fast. by the time i put brakes, shocks, battery, tie rod ends and rods, all the fluids, windshield, and rollbar. Then it needs tires as well, which is a problem because it has 15" wheels in the front and 16" in the back. it will still be cheap fun though. jeeps normally are.
So... very... jealous! I'm a die-hard Jeep guy. Had a 1980 CJ5, 360 V8, T18, 9" rear, 4.56 gears, lockers, 35" Boggers... I actually shed a tear when I finally sold it.
www.jeeptech.com is great for general reference. And I spent a ton of time on the CJ forum at www.jeepsunlimited.com Great tech in the CJ forum.
