looking to tone down the exhaust on the e30 a bit, since my county is a stickler for things like that. I have a new muffler that is just a bit louder than I'd like but otherwise sounds good, but my b-pipe doesn't have the stock resonator on it (PO cut it out), and its damn near impossible to find an M42 OEM resonator other than the dealer.

So.....I will put in my own. I need something that is 10" TOTAL length. It doesn't have to be bullet style....can be more like the Vibrant ultra-quiet design, since I have a few inches of clearance.

Would prefer to just find something OEM from whatever car.....so I can just go hit a junkyard or something. Any suggestions on a car that has a small resonator with center inlet-outlet? Or if you have such aa thing sitting aorund your car pile of parts, let me know!

Hmmm. 12 inch overall length work? How about a Cherrybomb?

Cherrybomb

Or a Dynomax Bullet muffler?

Bullet

yeah, the bullet-style ones will fit, but I'm kind of looking for something that will be a bit better at sound reduction, which neither of those really will (having used cherrybombs before)

Using one in addition with your existing muffler just might be the answer...
