We made more progress on the Porsche this weekend. The heads have been removed and are waiting to be shipped off, the oil cooler is already out for cleaning, and soon we'll drop off the engine sheet metal for powder coating.

Actually I was in DeLand, but not at the autocross. I did wave as I drove by.

The car (and its engine) are currently at a friend's place not too far from downtown, and I stopped by to clean some stuff. Between that and plans to visit family later on Sunday, I had to skip the autocross.

There is a popular build thread about the 911 with a Subaru engine, now you have a 911 engine in the back of your Subaru....

Yeah, I also thought that using the Subaru to carry the 911 engine was kind of funny. Tell you what, though, the Impreza will easily carry all kinds of stuff. At one point it held almost everything needed for the Porsche's engine rebuild, including the heads, cam towers, new ARP hardware, clutch, resurfaced flywheel, engine sheet metal and more.
