So I inspect cars locally when someone needs eyes on something.
Look at this build sheet on a 991/911. I have never seen one this low.

Went out to do the inspection without a VIN or I never would have looked at it. Nothing but PDK and heated seats. Seriously if they had ordered the manual which you could not that month it would have had 400$ in options. Called some friends and it was ordered for a dealership owner to go autocross and they got distracted and never used it for that.
This was a 90K car with manual seats, manual key, a CD player and ZERO suspension/PASM/PDCC/Sport CronoThey deleted the FREE sunroof and added the smokers pack for the extra 12v outlet.
It needs tires, alignment and a bumper paint in the rear but I want this car so bad. Its just so raw. Put a cheap center exhaust bypass on it, sticky tires and just beat on it. I can get it under 50K which would make it 10K cheaper then anything else I have ever even seen and it has sub 20K miles.

Is this the part where we are supposed to talk you out of it? Doooo eeeet!
Why would having the VIN have meant you wouldn't have looked at it?
Seems like a cool car, but weren't you inspecting it for a buyer? Are they not buying it then?

It was cheap and the buyer wanted cheap he passed it on to me but had zero info on it. He assumed a hit or paint damage was why it was so low. Owner was hard to get ahold of as well. Took almost two weeks to get out and actually see the car. Yes I am thinking of buying it if he passes would call suncoast and have them send me one of the PDK sport steering wheels with the paddles and fab up a bypass and do the fluids and alignment. Would be in the car exactly 50K after that and it is a hell of a car for 50K. I have a call out to the guy who inspected it about a year ago when they picked it up and he is getting me the report for a 6 pack. I have the DME report which is 0's across the board and the engine hours put the average speed of the car at 21mph.
I was just all happy that it got ordered at all. I could totally see some dealership saying no you cannot have a manual seat stripper. It will sit on our lot when you done pay and we will lose money. So at least order the premium pack and the sunroof.
Agate gray is a great color too.
Porsches, especially 911s, do absolutely nothing for me. Yet, I'd have a hard time passing on it as well. Weird.
I keep envisioning some subversive guy somewhere in the build process who totally knows that "leather-covered this" and "techno-acronym that" are the geese that lay the golden eggs, but who sees this one going by and thinks, "Finally, a North American who understands the true soul of a Porsche, ja?"

I see the Porsche "smoker's pack" is a lot more comprehensive than most automakers, who have an ashtray that fits into the cupholder and a lighter for one of the "power points".
A sometime local-ish club member described the whole process of buying his Cayman. Porsche doesn't do universal wiring harnesses - if you wanted mood lighting in the doors for example, that had to be built up for that specific car's wiring harness. Porsche wiring diagrams must be entertaining! He knew this, and did a bunch of research, and only ordered the things that he wanted but could not be added in after the fact. If it required a specific harness or module, he added it. Leather-wrapped arm rest lid? Get that on eBay after the fact. IIRC the car still ran to close to where that 911 was.
