Are all LT1 dipsticks the same? Mine was ratty and broken, so I bought one from a junkyard. Mines a 95, and the one I pulled was from a 94. I also forgot to see if it was a true LT1 or a baby 4.3. Will this matter?

well i imagine if it's from the same vehicle it should work. I believe most corvette and f-body ones are the same, but don't hold my word to it. Best thing to do would be drain the oil, fill up to required amount, and test said dipstick...

If you have the owner's manual, would it tell you the oil capacity for [your/each possible] motor? If so, and if they're the same, I would figure you'd be good to go.

as long as the dipstick and tube came from the same car, it will work. you don't need to limit yourself to just the LT1 cars, either. any 86-99 small block will also have a dipstick and tube that will work. hell, you may even be able to use any dipstick and tube from any small block that has a passenger side dipstick, which came out in '78 or so. if you are feeling lazy and don't want to bend over any more than necessary to check your oil, grab a tube and dipstick from a 90's small block powered van...

Thanks Novaderrick. My car takes the typical Chevy 5 qts. The stick looked like the same length. I worried if the baby LT had a smaller capacity pan. I've got the Helms manuals. Never thought to look up the oil capacities. Thanks, guys.

The B-body stick is shorter than the Corvette's, I learned, um, after I bought a junkyard replacement for my Vette.
