The Saab-ute is looking good. Looking forward the unleashing of that secret plan you shared with me

Same here. My choice, but still.
Nice. Jealous. With the swap to 2 autocross courses this would have been a great year to bring a $2k STS clone miata that i can build pretty easily in budget, it'd just have no balls whatsoever for the drag event. No drag? No problem!
On top of that I just bought (like 3 days ago) a real live $1k e46 that would have made the last minute trip to florida to compete in the $1009 class, CEL glowing happily all the while. Can't pull the time off work/family though :(

I-75 50 miles north of atlanta could meet from Cartersville to Marietta 404-536-8720

I was seriously considering doing a Challenge-friendly STS build on my 90 this spring so I could bring it this year, but decided I didn’t want to build it twice.
In reply to Pete Gossett :
Start with used but working Koni Yellows for the challenge, and then use them as the cores for a sweet DA conversion after the challenge! There's nothing really building-it-twice involved the way I had it planned. What's kind of pricey relative to a challenge budget is STS-legal lightweight things (wheels, battery, catback, seats) For the challenge you run heavy parts there but uninstall the interior, soft top, and so on.
Glad you got there safe! Fortunately Michael was a fast moving storm, and it should be all clear for the weekend. I have to head up to Petit LeMans tomorrow---- but will be stopping by the host hotel tonight. I hope to see you guys there!
Joe, I live very close to Road Atlanta, THE WEATHER is perfect.
Can't find a ride down, I won't make the Challenge.
I would like to come over to R .A. do you walk around or are you stuck doing Mag. stuff.
It would be nice to see a Friendly Face if I ride over

I my case it was largely the fact I had a good used engine & trans to swap in, so I wanted to replace all the seals & gaskets while they were accessible, as well as the timing belt, water pump, etc. Then I discovered that all-3 driveshafts that came with the car were bad, and a few other smaller things that pushed me over.
I just want to bow down to Robbie and let everyone know that he beat us by a .007 seconds on the combined time for the autocross. He's the man by a sliver.
