I find this kind of funny, although not for the organizers or competitors, but they’ve had to postpone the Magnum Opus rally in the U.P. It wasn’t scheduled to be held April 20th, even though that’s still four weeks off they’ve had to cancel it. The roads are under five feet, yes feet of snow with drifts up to 8-10 feet. They simply can’t open the roads!!!!
The new date is June 20th.

A friend of mine was flying ip from Houston for it. Opus was going to be his first rally. After he found out his ticket was nonrefundable he decided to come up anyway and we will find something to do. Now LSPR will be his first rally.
I read on another forum the quote was 6-9k to clear the snow.

Just hire a bunch of migrant workers to build a tunnel to be the course.......
A rally being cancelled because of too much snow? What have we, as a society, become?
In reply to Tom_Spangler:
Five feet of snow, plus drifts, likely with a couple inches of ice on top. The plates didn't used to read "Water-Winter Wonderland" for fun.
