Based on the opinion of Biturbos around here, thought you guys might be interested in this. The build thread is tucked away in one of the BMW e30 forums, but it's pretty good. He re-did the interior much improved from the original, as well as the exterior and everything else.

and his next "project car" is a Renault Turbo 2. He'd probably fit in well around here lol.
here's a teaser:

Wow, that looks awesome.
Also... anyone else notice the 928 parked next to it? I suspect this man secretly hates himself.
Nice! Those look like Ronal turbo wheels.
Did you read to the end of the thread? Apparently the car was totaled shortly after being sold, so there are still no nice Biturbos.
Too bad, that was a really nice car.
In reply to ansonivan:
argh! I thought I went to the end of the thread, must have missed that part
The moral of this story, though, is that a Biturbo CAN be nice :)

I think it's a father-son thing. Seems that they just build up random cars to be cool, sell them, and then start a new project.
As opposed to everyone here, who starts 17 projects and never finishes any of them, haha...

What and awesome, crazy thread, until I read page 8, man that sucks. There's always an element of attachment to any quirky car IMO, otherwise you'd never touch one. That has to be one of the nicest Biturbos I've ever seen, period. Always nice to see a restoration go to plan. Given how awesome the build was I personally would have been tempted not to sell, but then there'd be no new project. I think the pictures speak for themselves, and the time spent with a father restoring a unique car and making it something special, to keep or to sell, is worth more than the car ever will be...
I just pointed him to an $800, RUNNING Biturbo not 15 minutes from me (and he's from this area too).
So maybe he can do it again

For those wanting the cliff notes version, page 8 (post 107) contains the pictures of the completed car both in and out.
http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=182880&page=8
Same page also includes the statement of it's demise (post 113)
.
1) That looks awesome. I want that, and I want to know how to restore cars that well.
2) Forums with 10 posts/page = the devil
3) User signatures are even worse

When it come to large build threads like this (and this one is small by some large build thread standards) I wish the boards had a filter feature. I envision this filter would be a button at the start of the thread and when I hit that button, all I would see would be postings from the original poster. The result would be condensed reading of just the project and just the relevant information.
Har! I know the owner of that car. It's one of my good friend's father. If you guys want to know anything, let me know and I'll ask.

They are Schmidt th lines, nice wheels. That car looks pretty good but I'm not sure about the two tone paint and the spoiler.

Althoguh I'm not feeling the 2-tone paint (it looks like it belongs on powerblock), the build is (was) gorgeous.
I can NOT believe it is already totalled.

There is a firefox plugin developed for the ADVrider forums that does that, it is awesome. Especially for going through 80-200 page ride reports.
It would be awesome if it worked on other sites as well.
