No power steering.

Battery will go to the trunk, air injection stuff will go away, not sure what else I can do though. A/C will certainly stay (assuming I get it working)

battery in the trunk will help a lot. That is 40+ pounds taken off of the nose and put in the back

I think the first car in the picture is a Merkur Scorpio. When my old mans P1800 got totalled out a Scorpio was killed also. You never see them.

Wait. Air injection on a turbocharged car? Is that cool or not I can't tell. And I'm sure it makes life for that carb even more exciting.

Really thinking a full boogie MS & Spark setup will do that car a world of good, plus ditching the air injection. Does this car have a decent oil cooler from factory? I want to think they don't, might be a good project sometime soon if not.

It's not cool, so I'm removing it. Plus the air pump is locked up.

MS2/Extra is long term plan. It would be nice if I could source the EFI manifold/fuel rail/plenum/TB. If not, I'll figure something out.

No, no oil cooler. That is on the list as well.

Wonder if having injector bungs added to the existing intake and fabbing up fuel rail from rail blank would be easier. Would probably work with a gutted GM TBI unit in place of the carb, probably need some intake adapter etc etc.

To put it another way, maybe the aftermarket would be easier than getting some hard to get factor EFI setup going.

That was my initial plan. But since I can't weld aluminum and I have time to wait, I'll do that. I sold my megasquirt a couple of months back, so it will be a while.

I love the interior shots you have through the 'my garage' more pictures. Are those seats as comfortable as they look, and smell just as nice?

They are VERY comfortable. They don't smell though (neither good nor bad).

They are going to get a bunch of conditioner on them this weekend.

I have always loved the looks of the biturbo.. just that all the ones I see are typically rotted out.

So really.... i know m4ff3w didn't exactly have great luck with his....

But i have a potential oppurtunity to trade my MX6 for an 87 Fuel injected 4door biturbo.

Tell me i'm dumb. It supposedly has 53k miles on it, looks really clean, has an aftermarket cam, and runs well. Owner doesn't appear to be the smartest tool in the shed.

A) You are dumb.

B) All BiTurbos are low mileage (unless you include on a tow hook miles).

C) If the owner gets rid of a BiTurbo, and gets something in return, he might be a genius.

This is tongue in cheek, but rooted in truth.

What would be the minimum amount of money i should request on top for this car?

I'm thinking if i can get $1000 plus the biturbo for my mx6, it might not hurt so bad when (not if, but when) it all goes bad. And should at least leave me with enough funds to get started putting something else in there, right?

I'm starting to come around and think that the best way to buy one of these is get one that's already dead, and then do silly things to it.

You'd need to add another zero to get me to take a biturbo.

What do you expect from a guy with a Spitfire, a Saab and used to have a GTV-6.

I personally have a twisted love for Biturbos, but I can't think of a way for one to make sense to own other than affixing all the body panels to a real car. Even if it was given to you, you'll be in the whole in short order.

If you can't do without it, buy it with the intention of abandoning it the first time anything on it breaks. Unscrew your license plates. Walk away. Even if it is on the drive home from buying it.

You should get it. "My MX6 does 185" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

BiTurbos do 185?

Or am i missing some big iconic movie quote?

They should do at least 185 km/h, less if the tow truck maxes out earlier .

I still want one, but I think after the DSM I'll try to buy something that actually works instead.
