MaxQdata out of business?

Hi all,

Anybody know what is going on with MaxQdata? I friend of mine was having trouble contacting them. Had made a software purchase back and may, and had to do a paypal dispute within the last few days to get any resolution. Phone doesn't seem to be working right. Looking at the maxqdata forums, it doesn't seem like an isolated incident either.http://www.maxqdata.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2208#2208 I know they advertise in the mag, so I wasn't sure if any of the folks at GRM know what might be going on. I like the product.....hope nothing is wrong. Fairly certain it's a one man show, so I'm hoping they are on vacation or something.

There is a bunch of grumbling on this thread at sccaforums.com, so I wouldn't be surprised if they've gone mammaries skyward.

I need to get an unlock code from them.

I have a 10hz system and my PDA crashed, will only do limited speed without contacting them for a code.

Yep. Given that this was a business run by a fellow enthusiast, it would have been nice if, as his final Hail Mary, he put the unlock codes out there so that folks wouldn't be left with worthless systems.

I've got a few emails into them, but no response yet. I'm not sure if Max Q is still operating or not.

I do know that they have been great to deal with, and Ed is a quality guy. Hopefully they will get things straightened out.

I have been lucky enough to meet Ed (founder and proprietor) on a couple of occations. I know his heart was in the right place, even if his business processes are falling behind.
