I know it applies to autocross, which I don't (yet, at least). Does anybody know if it applies to SCCA CT (aka the "little brother" of Time Trials)?

If so it'd probably make sense if I apply for a membership for next year.

Of course I could just ask Mazdaspeed but GRM tends to know everything already.

Last I was involved, you only needed to submit results from 2 events to qualify. May be different now, but it's not too difficult to qualify for the program..

Pretty sure you are correct. I have been a member for years. I called out there once and was told I didn't even need to finish as long as my name was on the results sheet. In other words, two DNFs or two did not runs from separate events are acceptable. They are a pretty easy going bunch, and I have ordered a lot of Mazadspeed goodies from them over the years.

In reply to Feedyurhed:

Yeah, it's pretty open, as long as you're not blatantly scamming them.

I just always have a way of never completing a car, so I never wanted to be "That Guy" that screwed it up for everyone else, so I never actually ordered anything when I was a member.

My buddy that runs a GT-3 Miata told me that I was an idiot for this...

As long as you have a sheet to submit that states the organization, make and model of car, your name and finishing position (from two events) then you're all set. Auto-x is fine. Any organization that puts on the events is fine. Any Mazda is fine.

Also, they used to have an exemption from submitting results, if your car was in the process of being built. No idea if it still applies, but you would basically send them a couple pix of the build, intended class, and estimated completion date, and they would waive the results requirement.

It still applies, you can get a year membership if your car is in progress. Even if they don't recognize the series you race in you can do two autocross events a year to submit results and have access to the parts store.

Mazda does "get it" … Honda (HPD) won't accept me because I still drive my "racecar" on the street sometimes … a-x, I drive it to and from …. track time (TT, PDX/HPDE) I tow it …
