I have a 2001 Mazda Miata. It's only got about 65k on it and it's in really nice shape but I'm trying to catch up on some deferred maintenance.
One thing that I'm having a very hard time finding is the 3rd brake light gasket. The Mazda OEM part number is NC10-51-592A and nobody actually has it in stock. I've seen some dealer websites that have it listed for sale, but if you place an order for it, they will reply with a cancelation message stating that the gasket is actually NLA from Mazda. Incredibly, while none of the usual Miata specialists have the factory gasket in stock anymore, they don't even have an aftermarket version. I can't believe that I'm the only one looking for this part so I'm genuinely surprised that something as simple as this gasket is unavailable.
I do see that the entire 3rd brake light assembly, part number NC10-51-580C, is supposedly available from Mazda. It's priced around $130.00 which I don’t mind paying if I have no alternative. This car is too nice to just silicone the light in place, I want to do this the correct way.
Does the GRM hive have any ideas or suggestions?

Seller is based in Europe so might have a different stock there but best to inquire before you place an order. I've purchased one of these kits including the seal for my NB awhile ago and seller was super responsive.
That seems like a case for finding the best used one possible, modeling it in CAD, and then having it printed using a flexible material like TPU.

I checked with Dan and he has run out of Mazda made gaskets. He no longer offers them on his website or Etsy. They show as no longer available.

Came to suggest this. Some people on rx7club are printing NLA body gaskets for SA/FB RX-7s.
I can't even find it in the Mazda parts fiche. It only shows the full light assembly ($85.46 if you're a Team Support member, BTW). I suspect there's very little demand for it, as this gasket is probably only ever needed when someone removes the light. I haven't had one in hand for a while - is it foam or rubber? I'll bet a strip of foam would seal it well.
This is the sort of thing IL Motorsport might make. I agree that it would be a good thing to make out of TPU if you could come up with a model for it if it's a rubber gasket.
IL Motorsports does make them. But shipping to the USA was eye watering.

We're an IL dealer. I'll see if we can add them to our catalog. Won't be in time to solve your problem, unfortunately.
I'm in no hurry. My Miata lives in a garage, never gets driven in the rain or gets wet at all.
