A bit more inspiration for you, Steve .

Recently completed rally-build by one of the guys in the Vic Alfa Club.

That was very nearly the shortest love affair with a car ever.

I am home last night, I get a call stating the shop is on fire, bolt out there to find the area where the Alfa was sitting is scorched and the car was outside covered in fire extinguisher freon.

Seems one of my drivers noticed a fuel leak under the car. He decides to drain the tank, hooks up a fuel pump to some hose and then uses a battery charger, set to the 55amp jump, to run the pump, yeah what a shock, it sparked and whoosh.

Thankfully another driver was there and grabbed a hose, flames everywhere, he managed to get it out before the local fire brigade arrived. Car seems OK but I will have to check out everything under the rear.

The first driver is now BANNED from the workshop.

The topper, he is one of those wannabee firemen. Lights, sirens, scanners and CB radios all over his private vehicle.

Me too, the car looks OK, will change out fuel lines, had to anyway (refer to fuel leak) and probably time for new rear brake lines, otherwise lucky me, building was fine also.

The offender was put out when I told him to stay away from my stuff. Go figure.

By the way he has a history of doing without thinking, but this was by far the worst.

Very glad it is not that bad and everyone is OK. Some people just can not leave well enough alone.

So true Aaron, it looks like I got off lightly, but it could have cost me 5 cars, $000s in tools and the building.

Holy BMW E36! Glad to hear everybody's OK. And I thought the worst thing about sharing shop space was the missing tools.

Wow... crazy, on a plus note, if things can be salvaged, the above youtube link had this link as a suggestion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIua_I8GMu4&feature=related

Once you hear the Alfa pass, that's pretty much all you hear even as the other cars pass including a Countach

Other than that it's a little dry, didn't watch the whole thing edit: there might be another car mixed in but anyway it sounds great
