Hi everyone. So I have just run into another issue after installing a lightweight ACT flywheel and a FM level 1 clutch. Not sure if these have anything to do with it. The issue I am having, which just recently started today, has come out of nowhere and I'm a bit stumped after searching around for the cause. When idling, with the clutch pedal all the way up, the RPMs shoot up to around 1500 and sit there. Then, when I push the clutch pedal down to the floor, they drop to 1000 RPM. I'm not sure what is going on here, as it was fine the last few days and just started happening today. I have linked a video to the issue for more clarification. Thanks for any help!

EDIT: I meant engine RPMs, not clutch RPMs, thats my bad...my mind is all over the place today
I suspect you didn't reconnect the neutral switch on the trans. Do your reverse lights work?

Yep, reverse lights work. Which one is the neutral switch? The engine was acting just normal yesterday and the days before, it just suddenly started happening.
The neutral switch is the other one :)

Gotcha, thanks! I mean I do remember I connected all wires under there, but I can check again. One thing did just hit me as I was out at the car looking around the engine bay...I did clean the transmission with engine degreaser and a garden hose before I threw it back in. You think maybe I ruined the neutral switch and need a new one because of that? I tried to bag them up before spraying, but I know water more than likely got in there anyway.

Just confirmed that yes, they are connected. You think a replacement neutral safety switch may be needed?
Pretty unlikely. They're well sealed and pretty simple.

Thanks! I switched the two white plugs around and started it up, so far so good. Will have to drive it and see if it happens again. Also just realized I have a little leak of transmission fluid from the transmission weep hole. I do not feel like pulling the transmission right now, so maybe this winter I'll take a look at that.
