I'm selling a diff which I believe is a torsen from a '95. I've read the diff guide on miata.net and googled a bunch and I'm not 100% certain. It's important to me that I am conveying the right information to the buyer. 

From the axle shaft hole, I think it's a torsen, because there's no spider gear shaft.

From the diff fill hole, I don't know. I can't tell what I'm looking at. One picture is from a tool, the other is just from my phone. Note, the orientation of the diff is sideways. ie. left is "up".

No shaft = Torsen.  Torsens don't have bevel gears.

What he said. Also, Torsens were quite common in 1995 Miatas so the odds are forever in your favor.
