This one baffles me so it's your turn.

I have a customer looking for a seal for his Miata. It's a '92 with a 5 speed manual trans. He needs the seal on the end of the trans where the driveshaft goes into. I used the term "trans output shaft seal" at work and nothing came up. He did leave me with a part number off the old seal.

NOK brand - BH3745E

That NOK part number wasn't even listed in the Timken bearing and seal interchange catalog I have.

Ok, looks like it's the same seal for the automatic as well. Hmm .......

I'm not sure if those first 4 numbers on the Mazda part numbers mean anything, they seem to change all the time, but the last 2 sets actually identify the part (that's the way all the diagrams are, too).
