Yeah... A bigger tiller would be even better, The MOMO prototypo is awesome but not helpful for leverage.
I got it apart this morning with the aid of a pipe wrench and a cheater pipe. The end plug/seal retainer bit is way shorter than I expected from photos and videos of NA racks. Peering inside showed me that from the inside all you see of the hydraulic port is a small hole, no sign of a weld or anything else. The seal on the piston never gets to the hole so a small TIG weld should plug that after I carefully cut off that bung. With plenty of space between the current location and the inner end of the end plug it should be easy enough to TIG the bung back on over a new small hole. Thanks for all the input....sometimes I just need to use the folks here as a sounding board before I dive in the deep end.
