So I was pulling the seats and carpet out of my NB and the area under the passenger seat is like a sponge. Also it appears the berkeleying dash has to come out to change the god d carpet. I wanna just cut out the old carpet for now and try to pressure wash it to save some coin.

You can pull the carpet with the dash in place if you cut a slot in the carpet behind the center support. Not that it's all that difficult to pull the dash, I've had mine in and out in an evening.

What do you think is causing the water? It's directly under the passenger seat

Blocked top drain? There is one that runs behind each seat belt mount.

I can't picture what it looks like right now, but there must be some sort of door seal, maybe check the passenger one for damage.
