They're both swoopy red Mazda 2-door concepts, but other than that not really.  Proportions are very different, a MUCH longer hood on the RX vision:

Also, the RX Vision was directly rotary-powered, whereas the new one is basically a small battery EV with a rotary-powered generator as a range extender.  AIUI, there's no mechanical connection between the rotary and the wheels.
