5X Racing is partnering with NASA in October at Sebring International Raceway for a Miata/Mazda meet called Miatoberfest. There will be NASA Miata club racing the whole weekend along with HPDE and Hyperdrive sessions and autocross both days. There will be raffles held with somw really cool prizes to be had. Registration for the open track sessions is $75 per session. Autocross is $30 per session. 5X Racing will throw an after party for those willing to stay after the races on Saturday. Its gonna be a lot of fun. I will post more info as soon as I find out more. The event starts on October 6th and ends on the 7th.
Here is some more info from the 5X Racing Facebook page. this is a LEGIT event, no canoe. Its gained more and more momentum today and if that keeps up, this could get a lot bigger!

I'm down - love to run Sebring with other Miatas, rather than watching the 3500+ lb boats pull me down the straights just to follow them through the next corner.
I posted a link in the Events that goes directly to the page. Its going to be a blast, I can assure you. I'll be running in one of the HPDE and one of the autocross events too.
For those with a Club Roadster account more information is on there too about it. The team owner has given me his permission to help make this big. I'm on Team support from them and it has undoubtedly helped me build and modify my Miata up. Seriously consider looking into this folks, it will be worth it for those that can make it.
