I have a lot of experience with M/T's drag racing tires, and even some of their 4x4 stuff, and they absolutely dominate both categories. I just heard about the Street Comp though. Any ideas?

They're the absolute darling of the Mustang 5.0 Fox Body Boys. Have heard nothing but good about them, even the used up nearly bald ones still sell for money.

Que? MT Street Comps were just leaked, they aren't even for sale yet. Or are you talking about the other MT tires like ET Streets?

Possibly. If so, I apologize. The local 5.0 guys are ALWAYS moving from one MT tire to the next, seems that they latch onto and make the most of every tire that is released by Mickey Thompson. Last Saturday night everyone was raving over one of the recent releases, I was supposed to pick up a pair for one guy and bring them up to his shop when I went up for a T-5. Could have sworn that they were talking about the tire that you asked about, but . . . .

Regardless, sorry if I wrong for sure. I would totally imagine that, if it's from MT and based on previous successes in any way, it's a great tire/strip tire, don't you think?

Grrr... Can't find any info on the MT site. When I googled, this thread was the top result.

I just keep crossing my fingers for someone to make good high performance tires in all the sizes that are so scarce anymore... Nice wide 13, 14, 15-inchers...

A long shot, I'm sure, but was kinda hoping that being a niche brand that MT might care about the sort of volumes those could move...

In reply to TeamEvil:

TC, It's okay. MT makes the ET Street tire in a bias-ply and a radial, those are probably what the 5.0 guys were selling. This tire (the Street Comp) is supposed to be an autocross/track day tire. I can't find any real info on it other than 200tw and coming soon. Knowing MT they'll make some traditional muscle car 14 and 15 sizes, but I don't know if they'll get into the lower profile import style tires.

Hey, if they make 'em in a 205/60-15, I'm golden.

Haven't seen anything on the new Mickey yet, but I'll keep an eye open. Will be interesting to see what sizes become available.

I wonder if it's sharing anything with the Cooper Zeon RS3-S:

I like Mickey Thompson tires. Run them on the trucks and my wife's Jeep. Drag Radial on the track, and Sportsman S/T on the street. I'm pretty sure the S/T is a cousin to the Cooper Cobra.
