I ended up telling her to pick her own car and let me know what she decided. So far she's keeping the 340k mile Suburban. That's a pretty easy choice for me.
With my wife it is her H2. She is never getting rid of it.
We are not looking for more options at this point (I want this process over), and there is zero chance she would drive a Suburban (too big), nor would it fit in her parking spot in the garage.
But since we ended up on Page 2, let me ask my last question again so it's at the bottom. Any experience with a Macan vs Q5 in terms of reliability and cost of maintenance?
Just to close this out, we put a deposit down tonight on a low mileage CPO Macan, get to pick it up Friday, as they still need to do the 2 year service. It will take a few days for my overly frugal former Yankee self to adapt to being an almost new Porsche owner (and yes, I understand some will not consider it to be a real Porsche).
The last new car we bought was my wife's 2015 Rogue. The Macan is fully loaded, and it's like comparing my new IPhone to my first cell phone brick of 25 years ago. Absolutely crazy technology in the car. Thankfully, it will come with 4 years of warranty coverage.
I do feel a bit like a hypocrite as I've given my Porsche owner friends a fair bit of crap over the years about them just standing around in their Porsche windbreakers talking about detailing products, and how many digits their 911 has after it at PCA meets.
Most importantly does anyone have any wheel wax recommendations? :-)
