Yes it's been years (though not a decade like with Kimini...)
Got the chassis and panels back from the powdercoaters so now it's a simple matter of putting it all together, lol. As you can see there are no glamour shots. The last one is the most realistic, where everything is kind of coming together all at the same time, like several all-night cramming sessions for a final exam. However, this part of the build is the most fun since everything has already been figured out. The book is coming along too and the "final construction" chapter is being worked on now so I don't forget to include all the tips. For those wondering what the heck this is, check out Midlana for this project, and Kimini fir its predecessor.

Thanks for the update. I followed the Kimini build, and knew about this car as well but haven't checked your website for a while. Now I have some reading to do tonight after work.
Midlana updates are like finding a $5 bill in your jacket pocket in the fall...you didnt expect it, and it makes you feel all warm and happy when you see it!

Hah, nice analogy. Yes, it's kind of like spending years building a rollercoaster, and then one day realizing that the construction part of it is nearing an end, and getting excited about the first ride.

Can't wait to see this done!!!!
Been following that since the beginning, cliche as that sounds. Can't wait to see it done.
You did something that I'm planning for my build. Aesthetically I hate front overhang, so was planning on asymetrical a-arms like you did. They also look cool that way. Why did you choose to go that way?

Like you, I fee that overhangs are unattractive - serving only to drag on driveways and speedbumps. Given the overall look of the car I decided to stretch the wheelbase as much as possible (for improved stability) while keeping the car itself relatively short.
