Still in and looking forward to it. I'm almost ashamed to admit, but I've lived in Michigan most of my life and have never been to the Gilmore. If the weather's good, it'll be top down in the Miata and the last good run before I put it away for the season. If the weather's E36 M3, it'll be the appliance.
Looking forward to meeting everyone there. On that point, should plan on a particular meeting point/time at the museum? I'm sure there'll be other people there, so how do we recognize each other? I don't know the GRM secret handshake yet. (But I think it involves a greasy shop rag!)
In reply to Sanchinguy:
I'll almost certainly be wearing some GRM swag and I'll put GRM magnetic logos on my Miata. Oh, and the guy with the blank look on his face and wearing an Aussie drover hat is one of us.
I just saw this, sounds fun but I have a family thing that day. Have fun without me!

Real late to the party here, but count me in too.
Reese, is that you? Count me in too. Make Chris and David come too.
In reply to maschinenbau:
Yeah, organizing pics to start a squareback thread soon enough.
Annnnd, I'm out...
Boss called, gotta work Saturday. Berkeley...
Have fun, y'all. Maybe next time...
Sorry everyone, but I need to bow out afterall. Way behind on the house project and can't pass up a Saturday with good weather to work outside.
What time as been decided?
Calling it ten, I'm trying to find a place to reserve for a late lunch within ten minutes and striking out. May have to make do at the diner on site...
See y'all mañana!
Sounds like a plan. One of my little people has said he wants to come but we will see what happens at 6am tomorrow.
I spent most of the evening trying to convince my two boys this would be a fun trip.
In response I got "Daddy, is this another one of your Internet car friend things?", and "how many penguins do they have there?".
I'll try again in the morning, but I may not make it.
Looks like we will roll in about 10:20.
We are on the road, be there about 10:20 also
I'm still waiting on my coffee pot. But will probably beat you there.
Called in to work. Sad JmfnB.
Hoping that you all had a great day!
We had a great day. I started from home at 6:20 AM with the top down on the Miata. A nice 2 hour drive at 41*F. I had a nice big breakfast in nearby town for six bucks.
The Gilmore is a wonderful auto museum for anyone who hasn't been yet. There were 13 of us. We went for food and drink mid-afternoon.
The one participant who knows what Andrew Nelson is building for the next Challenge wouldn't talk.
Thanks to Chandler for organizing and everyone else for coming out.
I agree, it was a great way to spend a saturated

Sorry I missed this, had to work!
Good times, wow is that museum a work of art!
As an aside, did anyone else see the guy with the Deadwood Smart Car Nationals shirt? Then; when we reached the lot there were eleven smart cars parked together. Good stuff!
In reply to chandlerGTi:
I only spotted one Smart Car, but I did see those three Bentleys parked together as we exited.
In reply to DeadSkunk:
There was a very nice Beetle parked in the middle of them...not sure who got confused there?
I wish I could have convinced my kids to make the trip.
This is where I spent the most time
