I think I’m in as well, vdblyou @ yahoo
TWO WEEKS AWAY I'M SO EXCITED
Totally getting ahead of myself here with livery ideas. I like the idea of keeping most of it light blue so the interior still matches, and GRM hates boring white/black cars.
Also, auto-crossing the G35 this weekend
Anyone else from the Cincinnati area planning on heading to this? I'll probably be there on Saturday, in case anyone wants to carpool.
RSVP needed or is it ok to decide on short notice to show up with some sacrificial brews for the cause?
I'm getting my tools in order to head down this weekend. Looking forward to it. Anything in particular you need me to bring?
Do you think it would be ok to bring my 10 year old son?
Feel free to bring him! They only tool I don't own that I think we will need is a saw-zall.
Also, weather is looking pretty chilly so layer up!
Roger that. I've got a saw-zall that was already laid out ready to go. (Just need to confirm spare blades get packed)
Expect me early Saturday morning. Probably stay all day until we're all exhausted.

I like the idea but Indiana is still a long way away
it would be nice if GRM would consider doing regional events with the winner getting expenses to travel to Florida.
Double points if traveling is done in the race car!!
Start time on Friday?
I have work Saturday and gonna try to autoX Sunday if the weather will co-operate.
Travis, I can help out at the weekend too.
Whats the scope for the weekend? Getting the Infiniti engined Datsun to drive around the block?
I think we will be limited by the driveshaft and fuel tank, so the goal is a roller with engine and trans installed. Might be able to start it and make noises if we rig up the Infiniti fuel system in the Datsun somehow.
I'm starting Friday after work to remove Infiniti interior and engine bay stuff, so anyone is welcome over after 5.

I can bring my mig, but I’m nearly outta gas. Have you got a spare bottle?
Also have you stocked up on 1mm cutting discs and sawsall blades?
Looking at the forecast I guess we’ll need a shop heater? I’ve got a indoor use propane heater I can bring. Might need to get some more gas for it though...
I'm getting a fresh MIG tank today and should have enough cutting discs to go around, but that shop heater sounds nice! I am planning to work inside the garage with the doors shut. I have a small electric heater, but it's never enough.

Ok, do you have a couple of bottles of mig gas then? Or should we just make do with one mig welder?
Don't get too excited about the shop heater, it’s only a 18,000 btu natural convection jobby. But it works in my garage to take the chill off.
Unfortunately, I've got a full weekend of baby prep, a birthday party, and a baby shower so I'll have to follow along here rather than in person. Good luck though!
I'll be there 6ish tomorrow night...
Here's a sample of what I'm bringing. (Gotta locate my gage's or else the MIG is going to be worthless) notice the electric heater
I can bring a reciprocating saw, a grinder, and my forced air propane heater if you have a grill bottle to hook to it. Oh and all the camera gear I just got...
Looks like we will be fully stocked! Camera gear is something I haven't thought of. I was just going to set up my laptop to live stream on Youtube and take cell phone pics throughout the process.
