I absolutely love how that c4 turned out. (pre grey paint.) Just wish they had spent more time cleaning up the car. (and it was manual...)

Every one that I see for sale is an auto. I don't get that.
Watched it this morning. Thought it turned out great. A wide body c4 isn't a common sight. Would have looked better with box flairs to match the squarer style of the c4.

Ya know, it actually sounded pretty good that way!
Would sound even better with a single big turbo! I wonder if you could shoehorn one in. Maybe even remote mount
I've always been a die-hard manual driver too, but honestly in a car with this much torque it doesn't matter as much. Would it be more fun with one? Probably, but the auto doesn't really hinder the car...or at least Roger Johnson certainly didn't think it did.
Here is a VERY long read, but it will tell you how to go so fast in a c4 vette that the sanctioning bodies change the rules.
honestly? i watched the video and agree with moog.
for a few hours time it wasnt bad but i cant say i liked it. interesting idea for sure

I remember Regular Car Reviews said that the automatic outsold the manual on C4s by a huge margin.
As for this car, not my favorite. I think C4s are pretty ugly to begin with, but the front fender flares just looked weird and I could do without the wing. I much preferred the Subarute.
And the Roadkill guys just stripped a C4 Vette and made it into a fast Vettekart. It goes to show that C4 Vettes are a good basis for modification
Far from their best work.
That being said, I've been enjoying their multi part builds more recently.

His Camaro was also in the films. It was Han's car in an ending scene after they get the old house back.
Guys, I've said it many times. An L98 C4 is a better car with the auto than with a manual. This was the car that taught me not to hate auto's. These cars only had 230-250hp depending on year, but 330-350lb/ft or torque at low rpm and has over 300 lb/ft from like 2,000 to 4,000rpm. These cars work so so well with a torque converter. Back when they were the hot car in Super Stock (yeah I'm old) all the top ones were auto. The only advantage the manual has is the stronger rear diff, but I'd keep with an auto for street or autocross and find a different car for track days.
I don't think I'd prefer the manual in these either. Never driven either variant, but driving a torquey engine that doesn't love to change speeds quickly coupled to a junky manual transmission can quickly become a chore.
and I hear the 4+3 is not exactly a precision instrument of speed and aerodynamics.

It wasn't bad. IT wasn't great either. the engine really made up for the slowness of the shifting. When you can lay on the throttle in any gear and go... it was nice.
I still believe the L98 should have been in the HD trucks and motor homes. Perfect for them. 345ft-lbs from idle to redline meant it would never have to work to do anything.
