Ok, brain trust help me out.
I have a set of MINI wheels. 16x 6.5. 50mm offset. 4x100 bolt pattern. they are the 5 spoke.
I think they came off a 2002-2004 mini.
My question....
1) will they fit a stock 2010 mini cooper?
2) will they need any changes to lug bolts?(longer/shorter)
My question mainly being, stock, is it a simple swap over or not
thanks

Yes. There is a difference in the lug bolt size between early and later MINIs, but wheels all interchange.

in terms of length? or cone shank shape?
if the later ones are longer i see no problem running earlier rims on a later mini
bump...
moreso about he lug situation. can i run the earlier wheel on a later mini no problems?
or do i need to buy longer studs
On July 12, 2006 wheel bolt size was changed from M12x1.5 to M14x1.25.
There is a misconception that this change precludes fitting early OEM wheels on later model cars.
All OEM wheels have holes large enough for either size wheel bolt - it's the front disk brake size that determines which OEM wheels will fit.

Yep. Has nothing to do with wheel bolt length (there are no studs).
i assume that a base model Mini with 15" wheels will fit the 16" ones i have
