So, it didn't make it as a Challenge car.... But, building it on the cheap using Ebay and building it in my garage helped it win the contest. The prize is a trip to SEMA (without Minissan, damn!) and $2,500. Hopefully with their promotion Minissan will actually get a feature story in a US magazine. If you're going to SEMA, I guess I'll be at the Ebay Motors area on Thursday and Friday, stop by!

Congrats, that's a cool honor. I would love the chance to attend SEMA.

Congrats. Nice video. Two questions:
-
Are you going in full-blown clown getup?
-
If so, do they know what they are in for?

wtf why take you to sema but not the minissan?
Because it's a lot cheaper to ship a people than a car, and they take less expensive booth space.
Here's what they sent me... "Your winning Motors Master project video will also be highlighted and shown at SEMA, and therefore actually transporting your vehicle to Las Vegas will not be necessary. " It won't be the same or even close.
Here's the funny stuff, if you know me... "Grand Prize winners (4 categories) will have the opportunity to star in a series of first-ever Vuvox eBay Motors DIY Installation Videos, as an enthusiast spokesperson. You will be participating in videotaped demonstrations of after-market parts installations on Ford vehicles." Yeah, that has me written all over it, he he he he...

IFF you are in your racing clown garb.
That would be killer.
And I'd love to see what you would do to a Flex. Would be hilarious.
E-
So why didn't you feature any of your child labor??
"I know it's an honor, Mr Clown, but shouldn't I use a resporator when I use the sand blaster?"
E-
Drive the car out and see if they don't find space to display the thing. I'll bet someone would put it on a stand!
congrats mike and good luck with sema.......sigh......
congrats on winning... at least wear the clown nose
Congrats, too bad they won't bring the car with you.
So, how many clowns can fit into a Flex anyways? Congrats. Heck, prove how cool Grassroots can be and drive it out there.
If I was at sema, I'm tending to think I wouldn't give a E36 M3 about ebay's booth. Display or no display.
Now, if they had this minissan sitting out front, I'd definitely be paying a little more attention.
Their loss.
