OK, Minissan didn't win the GRM Challenge, but it won my personal challenge of winning more $$$ then it cost to build. I skipped the GRM Challenge for the first time to go to HIN in Miami Beach to show off the car, have some fun, and try to win some $$$$. The results were GREAT, Minissan won the Sylvania lighting award for $2,500 and the HIN Best of Show (All divisions) for $500. That puts Minissan as 8K to build and my new winning total to $10K in cash and the trip to SEMA (Ebay Motors). It's safe to say it has to be one of the best known unknown cars in the US...
Do you blame me for missing the GRM Challenge?!? I thought not...
So, now you know why I missed the Challenge... I hope you all had fun!

Congrats Mike! Glad to see the work you put into Minissan paying off.
You have a really nice car and I thought this was going to be some more dribble about the Nissan Deltawing......

I never did a build page on the net, but the 3 minute video I did for the Ebay Motors contest shows it from beginning to end. Youtube Minissan
And here's the reason Minissan went from a GRM Challenge car to what it is Minissan But that plan didn't work out, it only got magazine and book coverage in the UK and Australia. Minissan isn't story worthy in the US, oh wait, it's probably the only home made car in NA that has won more than it cost to build. No story here folks, keep moving along....
