What no race truck tacos?
Not what you want to see but if I was building one I'd still like to have a few extra axles, and a pool in the bed. I wouldn't be opposed to some airbrushed heartbeat stripes either.

You bring up a very good point - forget Dajiban, I want full-race Grumman-type step-vans...that can still serve up a good meal after the race.
Don't forget this:
I'm all for it. The only thing is that unless you bag them you kinda kill the utility when you lower them way down, and I'm too much of a form-follows-function guy to let that pass.

Surely you jest. "Tacos" is Yota speak for "Tacoma". Not taco trucks. However, I condone the idea of racing taco trucks WHILE making them in the back.

They're cheap, abundant, RWD, most have manual trans options, boost and/or engine swaps are common, and they have large wheel wells to accommodate tons of rubber.
I know guys running everything from Coyote swapped trucks with Mustang suspension/brakes to a fully caged truck with IRS and slicks in EMod. Performance mini truck is definitely a growing trend. I have a couple of small projects to take care of on mine over the winter, and I can hopefully get it to a dyno and a few more AutoX events in 2017.
Gratuitous truck shot:
Minitrucks stopped being cool? E36 M3! Nobody bothered to tell me. Wait, they probably did, but whatever.
