Had to do it, needed 7 seating capability and didn't want an suv 2005 toyota sienna le, not bad really though it's going to take some getting used to. What does that class in AutoX lol.

This oughta cheer you up - http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/soccer-moms-revenge/
Or, it may make you crave an old Porsche
Ok that makes me want new wheel and tires, sway bars, strut tower bars etc, etc, etc. Or I had gotten this... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3850744931305559724
My minivan has a turbo and will haul 27 bags of mulch as well as a fair amount of ass, so minivans aren't all bad.
I'm not sure about autoX, but my van would be in SO2 in rallyX
Congrats, or my condolences, one or the other. We almost ended up with the Mazda 5, but got the Fit instead. Went more "Wagovan" than "Minivan."
we've got an '03 ody with 135k on it. almost 100k on the replacement trans. yes, the original E36 M3 the bed at 44k. from what i've been told by several technicians, hondas ATXs haven't gotten any better, and for the last several years have been just as E36 M3ty as chryco's FWD slushboxes.
but it runs and drives nice, and when it's time to remove the snow tires in the spring i'm probably going to do a +1 on it.
when we have a failure big enough to warrant not fixing it, we'll replace it with a mazda5 or a more traditional wagon, assuming they're still being made somewhere. the mazda5 is attractive because of the sliding rear doors. kids can't door ding other cars with them...
I'm proud to say that the first new car I ever bought was a minivan. Always use the best tool for the job, I say.
It's actually growing on me, it's kind of weird at first being so high up. my butt is where my head used to be. and the toyota v6 is actually pretty sweet.
Mine took about a month to get used to. I like it... Now we cart around both kids plus the dog is free to roam and pick up falling snacks.

So, my sonata was a minivan? Now my life is utterly confused, at least I have the SHO to Wrench on and fix (seems to have endless problems). With the reliability of toyota and a 48/100k warranty I doubt I'll ever wrench on that thing.
i love my astro... it moves as many people as your average BIG SUV and usualy move more stuff espeicaly when you remove the seats... they don't hold their value as well so they are cheaper to buy in the 1st place :)
being more of a "real" van i hate the van foot hump and working on it means a dog house :(... MPG suck also but it's only used on occasion for moving lots of people or things... rest of the time it's just the lil car :) makes a good mix... have the utility vehicle, and the practical runabout
Yes! Sienna XLE here - came with the towing package - only a 3500# rating, but it should tow my Mark II Golf (and almost found out at yesterday's track day - busted a CV joint). The van does just about everything well. Fuel mileage is pretty poor - down there with most SUV's. The wife is happy
