why is it so hard for a seller to scan or take readable photos of a logbook into order for buyer to confirm the cage material and spec?

proclaiming to not know since you purchased the vehicle as it sits in it's current state isn't an excuse, it's a combination of ignorance and laziness. the logbook answers all and is as important as the title in many cases.

Consider it a sign of an unmotivated seller.

Yup - I have had people say "Come see it!" Sure I live 4 hours away and I am going to drive down without even seeing a logbook!

Either move on or be very patient.
