Years ago I came across an elderly Italian gentleman trying to sell his Diesel Mk1 for $1500, in about that condition. I pooh-poohed it at the time, thinking diesel = slow = boring...and now it'd be about the perfect car for me .
Hard to believe an Illinois Rabbit would be so rust free. But aren't those rust bubbles just below the windshield rubber?
