The temptation is strong....
I missed out on a full DSC tractive kit for $2500 :/ But I will, most likely go ahead and buy the controller, and hunt for another used kit.
Car is a 2018 and has 17,000 miles. IIRC it's a 3/36 warranty, so warranty will be up next year.
Definitely considering a Mountune 93 tune. Consensus is, depending on the dealer may honor the warranty with Mountune tune...especially if the dealer loads it.
I *might* consider doing some of the "supporting hardware" as well.
This is on sale right now.
I also kinda have a yard-on for the ETS Extreme exhaust.
So all in: Less than $5k for "MORE EVERYTHING" and supposedly WAY less of the bouncy bouncy.
What say you, hive???
Fix the suspension first. The dampening in the car felt all wrong to me, it was very brittle.
In reply to docwyte :
It's ALMOST a given that I'll do the DSC controller first(?) But man, those Colorado roads are BRUTAL compared to what we have here.
Took the girls on a mountain run up to Carter's Lake this morning with ZERO complaints. <shrug>
I'm a big fan of OEM+ for street cars. Enhance what's good about the car, but stop short of making it annoying to drive.

That shock tuning would drive me insane. I don't think I would've made it out of the break in period without ripping that stuff out of the car and completely replacing it.
In reply to docwyte :
Again, in CO, I was thinking "okay, I need to fix this STAT!"
Back in GA, I've put 100 miles on it with no tiddy-jiggles.
My vote is somewhere in between.
- Suspension
- Tune
- Exhaust (if needed)
And whatever else your gorgeous wife says, is ok
I'd leave it the berkeley alone!
A friend of mine bought one of these when it first came out, so I've overheard a lot of comments about how many of the mods do more harm than good. So it seems like the tuners still haven't quite figured out how to mod these cars without breaking them.
I'd probably do suspension and cat-back and leave it.
In reply to poopshovel again :
Did you do a ton of push ups along the way?

I support this decision. 93 tune + 3" cat back?
Yeah, leave well enough alone.
In reply to poopshovel again :
One set FTD at the last autox. I was cornerworking with the owner & asked about it, he said it put out 450hp. I think you know what you need to do...

PS: Definitely interested in details if you know any. I suspect an E85 blend was involved?
In reply to poopshovel again :
I'm not sure, E85 is pretty rare down here on the coast. I'll see if I can track down the owner.

Regardless, thank you for supporting my horrible decisions <3

That was one of my favorite features of my Fiesta ST on Milwaukee roads.
Do you use the dash pocket/cubby in front of the shifter at all? The pocket in the fiesta was absolutely useless, I've heard mixed things from the Focus guys.
In reply to RacetruckRon :
I got a set of RS branded silicone rubber inserts for the various cubbies.
It upped the number of RS badges in the car, so that's good right?
before I added the ProClips mount, I used it for my iPhone 7+ and I didn't really have too many issues with it falling out after I added the silicone insert.
