Some fall around that magic $2k, but some don't. So I'm putting this here.
This one's right down the street:

If the body can be saved, that would be a fun ZAV....flat black and zombie-hunting green, fully caged inside, with enough power to take offroad and go mudding.
Wow, I couldn't imagine why anyone would care enough about an Aspen wagon to engine swap it, until I saw the KISS steering wheel cover, then, oddly, it all just made sense. My parents had a dark poo brown example when I was a kid. Its only redeeming feature was a decent air conditioner.

Yea I prefer a Volare over the Aspen, but I could fix that with a grill and taillight swap.

YOU SHUT YOUR FILTHY WHORE MOUTH!
that Vega has me thinking dirty thoughts- especially if it's not rusting out in all the unfortunate places that the 76 GT wagon that i had in the mid 90's did..
i've still got the motor mounts, oil pan, and headers to put a small block in one..
(un)fortunately, i don't have that kind of money right now and it's 1000 miles away...
Find me a 72 Torino wagon, I have seen one in 7 years on eBay

Someone needs to pick this one up. I'm not a wagon guy or I'd own it already.

That green LTD makes me feel a little funny, just like my old blue one did....

That power wagon should be loved
I know there's a lot of love around here for those giant old American wagons but I grew up with those things. They are the reason I turned to imports years ago and never looked back. I mean they couldn't turn, stop or get going very fast. Sorry, but I mostly hated them. I love wagons though, just not those.
This is mine, in line for a heart transplant soon
and local to me

There's a 69(?) on atl cl if that helps.
Nice find. Yeah, I also saw the green Ford. It was a contender but I decided I'd rather go GM--just a family history, I guess. I'm still amazed at how many comments ours gets. Even today in the supermarket parking lot, an older lady said "nice car."
Look for more updates on the Safari soon, too: http://classicmotorsports.net/project-cars/1975-pontiac-catalina-safari/
Everyone needs a wagon.
Oh, and some foreshadowing:

No fishmouth grill though. A '72 Torino is on my wish list with the wagon at the top.

But it does have wood. Wood is good.

Speaking of wagons, my buddy just picked this up.... for $1200. Absolutely spotless. '85 Country Squire.
72 Polara - parents had one new from 72 to 85 or 86. I need that one
The guy with the Vega wagon - he has dozens of Vega's for sale. It's like Vega heaven, if that's where you'd like to go.
