This. I hate going in Walmart because I walk out mostly just wanting to destroy the entire world.

You're all about your free market economy, but hate the place that does it better than anybody else.

Haters gonna hate.

I'm going to get bumper stickers made up........

The only good thing about the place is that your self esteem INSTANTLY goes up 300% when you get there. Hey, I'm not that bad!

I get my Mobil1 at Costco when they have the $10 off. Walmart has been about $25 for a 5 quart jug and costco gives you 6 quarts in a box for not much more.

funny how that works, isn't it?

i don't blame Wal Mart for chasing manufacturing out of the country- i blame the companies that let Wal Mart strong arm them into moving production overseas and consumers for buying it..

every Wal Mart in my area has a mini mall either attached to it or on it's property, and they are all full of small businesses that are thriving...

i go to Wal Mart almost daily for the microwavable meals in a box that sustain me during the work week- a Hungry Man meal is almost $2 cheaper there than at the super market a half mile away, and a 12 pack of Pepsi Throwback is $1.50 cheaper- and to get oil... i've also discovered that the $15 Wrangler jeans they sell there are more durable and fit better than the $50 Levis that you buy at other stores..

All I wanted to do is tell you guys that Mobil-1 is $22.47 for a five quart jug.

Yes, but you made the mistake of mentioning where.

In the early 1980's I worked at Kmart when I was in college and they were #2 retailer looking to pass up the largest retailer in the nation; Sears. Then Wally World showed up.

Another good side of Walmart? I just dropped off five 5-quart jugs of used oil this past Saturday.

Y'all must not go to any Meijer, K-Mart or supermarket in the same area then. Because the LOCATION determines the clientele. I can go to Brownsburg and watch all sorts of hot suburban house wives and such all day. The store is clean, the employees are friendly and the shelves are full. I can go the same distance to the store inside the 465 loop off Michigan Rd and feel like I'm going to get mugged, the store is dirty, the employees don't give a berkeley if you're breathing and the shelves are a disaster. The parking lot has had several shootings at night etc.Problem is, EVERYTHING in that area is the same. The Kroger store down the street has the same employees with worse attitudes and the store is really dirty for a grocery store.

But haterz gonna hate. Y'all go on hatin' and make yourself feel better about yourselves. I'll enjoy the extra money I save and get to spend on vacations and car parts.

Went to the new Walmart a mile from my house last night to pick up deodorant and of course picked up 3 other things that I didnt plan on getting. The oil and filter selection looks pretty good at this location. I got oil filters for my accent (purolator) and truck (motorcraft) while I was there. they were around $3-4 a piece.

I didnt look at oil prices too closely because I already have a few changes worth in the garage, but quite frankly ill probably buy here from now on because I would literally spend an additional $4-10 just in gas to drive anywhere else.

And I'll enjoy shopping for food at Whole Paycheck whilst still being able to afford vacations, track cars, etc.

So, I don't know, maybe drop it?
