The Model 3 Challenge presented by Mountain Pass Performance will offer wheel-to-wheel racing among equalized Tesla Model 3 cars in 2023. The series will hold its races in conjunction with select Gridlife events.

We reached out to the organizers of the series to verify that. Indeed, no cage is required.

Furthermore, a clarification on "wheel to wheel" racing:

"Our series will actually not be totally "wheel to wheel", but rather a hybrid of an HPDE & Time Attack with a Wheel-To-Wheel feel. 

All passes will require a point-by and can only be conducted on straights within specific zones, and competitors must maintain a minimum of 1-car length between vehicles. However, competitors will be timed, and every lap counts."

So is it racing? HPDE? or a Time Attack? Seems sus

So it's basically a time trial or possibly intermediate hpde given the point by rules
