Which makes more sense, trying to gin up an L67 to a 5 speed, like a Tremec 3550 using a late Camaro bellhousing, and wedge that into a Volvo 240 wagon or do you just find an LSx with a T56 hanging off the back and run with that? Which would get better mileage? I guess there's always Volvo turbo-4's in the mix as well but that almost sounds too easy...

The legacy GT is tight in the back seat, would not recommend them if you have a bunch of people to haul all the time (and I own one) Good for 4, not for 5 adults.
Mazda 5 is a good one, parents have one and love it, the extra seat row is nice in a pinch.
5 or 7 series bmw.
I always like the m series infinities for some reason, not too many around and have never driven one, just something different about them.

Hmmmm.... lots of good choices to think about. (Never considered the Rondo, but I'm intrigued. I'm liking Kia more after the Soul we had a few months ago, even if it didn't have hamsters.) Keep 'em coming. And some of you are making me laugh lots.

RUN AWAY Did you notice all the dollar signs ($$$) in the title? thats what it will cost you to keep it running. My BIL had to dump one recently because it was eating him out of house and home with its maitanance costs, that was even with me doing a lot of the repairs for free.

The 2010 Legacy is a heck of a lot larger in the back seat.
+1 to the smalish backseat in the Legacy. Few years back talked a friend of mine into a 99 GT wagon, it's just her and her now 15 year old daughter, so it works fine for them, but three in the back can get a bit cramped. P71 has at least a three body trunk, maybe four. Newer Cadillac DTS is a nice car, based on my time as a chauffeur. Good pick up, nice handling (predictable OEM understeer), barely any torque steer, mid-20's mpg. Only problem we had with the ones in our fleet was headlight ballasts kept going out.
I'm going to build a P71 flowchart for this forum.
There's going to be three basic ways that a P71 will be for you:
- You think 15 second quarters and 21-23 mpg mixed is good.
- The fact that people sometimes confuse you for an authority figure gives you a raging semi.
- You're willing to sacrifice a lot because they're cheap.
Did somebody say the P71 was easy to park? My parents had a regular Vic (it died a needed death at a well-maintained 110k), and a Ram 1500 (which is struggling to live at 100k, POS). Guess which one was easier to park?

Don't forget the power of the Force when driving a P71. You just come up quickly from behind, and before you know it, the driver is all over themself getting out of your way.
Just keep the nurf bar, the spot light, and the cage.
Seems like the ideal car to commute with.
Oh, and install the radar detector- which looks like cool instrumentation in addition to a warning. For something extra special, find yourself a Panasonic CF-29, and a stand for it. That gives more "cred" for the cars in front of you.
And I still think Tommy would look good in the moulded back seat. Appropriate, at least. Heck, Tim and Tom, together. Now THAT would be a great picture.

Also since it would be a "business expense" you would need a video system, you know to monitor Motorsports Marketing events from the road.
I saw one of these in the flesh today. 35k looks to get you a 4.6 V8 300+ HP whole lot of car goodness. Just remove the bagging and you would swear it is a 5 or 7 BMW or an S class MB. I think they have a winner here. I have to get down and test drive one of these.
And then there is the coup!!!!
Oh and I forgot to mention that when the driver (40ish looking business type woman) dropped the hammer coming out of the tolls. It was like watching the millenium falcon engage the hyper drive. Just gone. No noise no effort nothing it just went and disappeared.
