Seems like a truck with the big motor. Agree with others, it’s just the marketing department being creative with the natural progression of things.

They've already confirmed the Ram TRX, with a detuned Hellcat worth at least 575hp, so I can't imagine that this is what they are hinting towards. It's already confirmed, so why beat around the bush.
Unless they've changed their mind and are going to make it more like the '90s Ram T-Rex concept
Hey, it's Mopar, anything is possible.

Hopefully a huge one.
I already shared a link to the next video on the first page.
Why would they post the web address to CrateHemi.com for a new vehicle??

And they'll do something off the wall like make it more BRZ sized, mid engined and stuff a Hellcat motor in it just to prove they can.

This one too

What's more interesting to me here is how similar the bone structure in an elephant's foot is to that of humans.
I have always been a Mopar fan as my Dad was a Chrysler engineer. My first car was 71 Challenger. Chrysler is cranking out some crazy performance machines, ones that are making the 60s muscle cars look tame by comparison but................they are so poorly positioned to weather another energy and/or financial crisis if and when it comes. The next one could finish them off. Jeeps, Rams and Hemis will be of no help.
In reply to Feedyurhed :
People will keep buying Wranglers no matter what happens, so they've got at least one thing that's pretty safe. I mean, there's not exactly a lot of competition for factory off-road ability or the whole 4 door convertible with removable doors thing.
I seem to recall them specifically saying they weren't going to do a Hellcat Ram. I still want one however.

We just need to make sure we elect legislators who don’t believe the internal combustion engine and fossil fuel are evil.

I am thinking this. I mean, Chevy has a 7 liter, Ford is replacing the 6.2 (?) Super Duty engine with a pushrod 7.3l V8, Ma Mopar is probably doing something similar in turn. And since their main selling point is nostalgia, of course it will be a 426ci version of the Neue-Hemi.
The second generation Hemi (the 426 "Street Hemi") was berking called the Elephant after all. It only makes sense.
This is the same company that made a 392ci version because nostalgia, and a 354 because nostalgia.

What's funny is that the Challenger's basic bones are unchanged from when it was introduced, yet it has been outselling the 6th-gen Camaro and Mustang, despite the Mustang and Camaro being smaller, and lighter, and more modern and sophisticated

Dang. You're completely right. I hadn't noticed it. That's so amazing. It's like an x-ray of my high school self's foot in my oversized JNCO jeans

There is also an elephant in the video.
In reply to Knurled. :
I'm honestly surprised for is doing another big NA gas engine for the Super Duty and not something like sticking a pair of turbos on the 5.0. Then again, that might eat into diesel sales a bit too much...
In reply to rslifkin :
From what I have heard, it's supposed to be an "interesting" engine. The head layout is supposed to look a whole lot like two valves per cylinder, but the valve covers are not shaped like a pushrod engine's. A lot of theories that it is a camless or otherwise indirectly actuated valves.
That does not really fit Ford's M.O. though. They test out tech in production cars before they put them in trucks.

The exact words when they asked Tim Kuniskis, or maybe Ralph Gilles, if there would be a Hellcat Ram was "Not at this time" and when they pried about whether that meant never or just right now, he simply responded with "Not at this time" again. But the Ram TRX is confirmed for production, which uses a dialed-back Hellcat motor.
Doesn't Ford and Chevy do this as well?
Rwd 600 hp wagon.
700 hp corvette
600+ hp camaro
Crazy mustang with flat plane cranks
Ford gt
Etc...
Just curious why dodge gets all the accolades for being crazy.

They didn't build 700hp SUVs or cars that pull wheelies and scare the NHRA in showroom trim.

Because Ford and GM make serious performance cars, while Chrysler just crams gigantic engines into 25-year-old designs?
The Viper ACR was like your list, but they killed that one because reasons.

If I win the lottery (hah I play 3 times a year maybe) I'm going to buy a dozen of them and FMV them for $100 bucks a piece with the stipulation that they're installed in challenge cars for that year.
I just want to see the magazine cover read "20xx Challenge: The year The0retical berkeleyed it up for everyone."
You'll need to log in to post.
