there was a car show this past weekend called mopars in the park. it was held in fox lake,IL on june 28. It was open to mostly mopars and with some other cars showing up. Lots of b-body mopars and lots of the the new 300 chassis cars showing up also. the park was wooded and very nice with lots of shade and with a pond to one side. there was a park with a baseball dimand and skate park to the far side. i was asked to be the show photo type person sat morning over the phone and i had planned to show up to the show anyway. but still it was cool getting the job to add to my album of stuff i get to shoot. i was the only amc that showed up at first, then a little later some one showed up with a spirit amx and then left after an hour. I won first place in class agaist really stiff cars in the amc class though...the many ramblers where out in force with my 66 being the best of them..... its great when you win an award for being the only one in class..... and its my first car show win. its the third car show i have taken the car to ever. i have been a to like 6 cruise nights before this month. now its been 3 car shows in as many weeks. i will be posting more pics later this week after i get copys to the club that hosted the event. the chiago mopar conntection was the host club and mark the guy in charge did a really cool job putting on the show. it really was fun and very cool to see that many mopars in one spot.
