Not bolted up but looking pretty good.
Thanks guys. The flares came from Lithuania which apparently, after the Phillipines, has the market cornered on flares and fiberglass panels. You can check EBay by searching "KP61JDM Flares" or just "KP61 Flares."
I'm needing to upgrade my 82 Starlet's rear end with either an AE86 or Celica Supra solid rear assembly. The Starlet, better known as "Chuppy," has been around since 2007 here on the boards. Well, it's time to go to the next level.
If anyone has one of theses assemblies or knows where to get one, please let me know! It would be greatly appreciated!
Regards,
John

Is the AE86 rear end stouter than the earlier TE27 rears? I have a '73 SR5 axle I won't be needing. Where are you located?
Never mind.... I looked up the axle code (S292), 6.38" ring, 4.10 ratio and only 2 pinions in the differential. Not very big.

Super late to respond but...the MC was from either a MR2 or Tacoma. Works great in my opinion. Yes, there is more effort in pressing the pedal but not much more. You get a consistently firm pedal. The Wilwoods up front are fantastic. With Toyo R888 tires it stops hard.
Way late update but Chuppy is still alive.
I have purchased a later model AE86 rear end and a Kaaz LSD. So, soon I should be starting on converting the AE86 rear end to fit the Starlet.
I'll also be stroking the engine to 1.5L with the use of some Kameari forged pistons. and a much larger camshaft. Pics coming tomorrow.
Ooh, glad to find this thread. My cousin, nephew and I are doing a Starlet build for Lemons. Parts are difficult to find on these things. Currently modifying a Honda Civic radiator to replace the Starlet.

If you need help hunting down parts let me know. Yup, I tried an aftermarket aluminum Honda radiator. Wasn't happy with it so I had the original copper core radiator reworked to new condition. Works a charm even in Oklahoma 100F summers. I did the Power Tour in 2016 in June. That year it ran through Oklahoma. Everywhere we went it was 100F. Never had a problem with cooling. However, I have a Spal electric fan that I can kick on whenever I want. Just a switched relay.
What's your plan to get the AE86 rear to fit, width-wise? We bought an AWD Corolla rear for our Starlet, thinking it was nearly identical to the AE86, and it was going to be way too wide. We ended up narrowing a Ford 7.5 using two short side early Ranger shafts.
We first ran a mid-90s Prizm/Corolla radiator and have now switched to a S13 SR20DET 240sx radiator (due to inlet/outlet differences between the 4k and our swap). Both fit well width and height wise, but different mounts were required for both compared to stock obviously.
Here's the build thread:
