Yesterday I drove a little over 1,000 miles only to end up back where I started. Not a recommended approach to a road trip, but it's what I did. I left home at 9 am and got back home a little after 3 an. It wasn't all just boring interstate driving either as I drove route 250 between Staunton, VA and Elkins, WV each direction. It mistly rained the whole trip with some dense fog in the mountains. I want to hear about your crazy road trip exploits.
I drove straight through from Connecticut to Macon Georgia in a brand new 1987 Acura Integra. Average speed was 68 mph, including stops for food, fuel and bathrooms.

I did 940 miles from Murfreesboro, TN to Rome, NY in one day in a Miata. Left TN at 8:00am and got home in NY at 12:30. The 9:30pm-10:00PM spot got a little dicey but I refused to give up 2 hours from home. So I chugged 2 Red Bulls and transcended humanity and got home safely.
Fayetteville, AR to the banks of the Missouri River, Chamberlain SD in one day. On two wheels.

I drove from Dallas to Phoenix back to Dallas with only a four hour stop (no sleep). It took about 32 hours and was over 2,000 miles. A lot of that trip was at the governed speed of my Intrepid.
It was all to pick up a cat for my friend....
At least my first encounter with a border station was entertaining. "Are y'all American citizens?" We look at each other. "Yes?"
Anymore I tend to limit myself to a 1,000 in one day, usually happens when I want to get home from a roadtrip. Just get tired of being on the road and why stay at a Hotel when I'm only 3-5 hours from sleeping in my own bed. I've driven home from Denver twice in one shot 1640 miles, Miami 1,150 miles. The dumbest thing was driving from Las Vegas to home, with only taking a four hour nap somewhere in the middle 2,400 miles. Flew to Amarillo, TX purchased a car and drove it home 1,550 miles in a two day span.
Wifey (then girlfriendy) and I did a 3-week roadtrip out to San Diego, CA from Columbus, OH. We took our time getting there and started to do the same coming back and made a couple cool stops but after camping in Cibola National Forest we were just done with being on the road and wanted to be home. I started driving and stopped once to watch the sun come up the next morning then kept going. 23+ hours of driving in one shot, over 1400 miles traveled. That was in a Honda Prelude I bought for $500 and sold for $450 after the trip. It was leaking everything and needed a wheel bearing by the end.
I've done a couple of round trips to pick things up that were perhaps ill advised in their pace. One was a round trip to Philadelphia, about 470 miles each way, to pick up a huge lot of light fixtures. I was in a 24' box truck, alone. 900+ miles in one day. It would have been better if I hadn't started the day with a huge cup of coffee which meant stopping at least every hour to pee. I should have done it astronaut style and put on a diaper.

I did Boston to Austin in two days earlier this year, in a miata with no radio and no cruise control
When I was in school, I regularly did the 900-mile trip back home in one stop. Stop for a hotel? Those cost money. Car was an '82 Accord.
over 700 miles...... but that is travelled, driven was a bit less
back in 1999... I drove* from Pocono Lake Pa to Philly airport(115 miles), then I flew to Pittsburgh(327 miles), and then drove my new to me AE86 GTS back to Pocono Lake (297 miles)
all tolled...left @ 6am, got back @ about 12 midnight
-
- my wife rode down with me, and she drove back from Philly to Poconos
Boise, Idaho to Kearney, NE - 1,056 miles, 16 hours. Slept 6 hours, got up, drove from there to Michigan. Slept 5 hours, got up, drove to Washington DC (a chip shot!).
Louisville to Tampa in one shot is my longest stint in one day. Just under 1000 miles. It honestly wasn't bad since I was in a comfy oddessy. A 6 hour trip in the s2000 felt like an eternity.
Probably around 700 or so, PA to upstate NY back to PA, in an S2000 with pouring rain most of the day. Not nearly as impressive as some of you iron butts, but that was plenty for me. Anything over about 500mi/day becomes a chore.

Well if you don't stop for other than gas, wear a diaper, and don't sleep or eat, then the speed limits will dictate the maximum legal answer.
Not much compared to others, but I drove 900 miles round trip to Yuma, AZ to pick up a parts quad - my engine case on mine had cracked and it was cheaper to buy a whole quad for parts than just an engine case. After about 500 miles I start to not enjoy it as much, but a 4 cyl ranger isn't the ideal highway cruising car.

I think my previous long drive was about 800 miles between Sundance, WY and Cour d'Alene, ID.
At a guess, my max is probably 900 or so. In a previous job, I regularly did 1800-2500 per 4 day week, so racking up a lot of miles in a day was pretty easy. 600-700 was pretty normal.

Portland OR to north-east Kansas in 27 hours in a turbo 626. 1700 miles, by myself. I do not recommend doing that.
Macon or Warner Robins GA to home at the time, north of Grand Rapids MI, in just about 14hrs. Stopped for diesel once and that was my only stop once I started driving. It was so much fun for driving that far with a fresh from Florida sunburn after a weekend of drag racing in Bradenton.....

St paul. Mn to dalton georgia, solo. Non stop. 3 hours of sleep then to kissimmee. Total of 1560miles in 26 hours.
I've done Sacramento to El Paso but on this trip we did Anderson, SC to Hope, NJ by way of Washington, DC and Washington's Crossing, PA for 766 miles with a 7 year old. Two stops, one to eat and pee and another for gas and pee. I was amazed at his bladder control.
New York City to Redondo Beach, CA in one clip. Can't tell you how long it took yet...
drove straight through the day after christmas 5 years ago from cleveland to daytona beach, got to hotel and was pissed at the quality of the room and what daytona looked like at the time so hopped back in the truck and drove across florida to crystal river. close to 1200 miles in one shot.
done plenty of 6-800 mile out and back days when i used to do deliveries.
