Just acquired last weekend - another way to turn money into noise!
04 Ski-Doo MXZ 600HO - 2nd year of the REV chassis and my first "new" sled in over 25 years. I'm looking forward to the lakes freezing over and more snow!!!

Congrats ! Looking forward to going to the slopes for 3 days in the New Year. Lots of snow - only 2.5 hours away .

I feel bad for people that have never snowmobiled or four-wheeled in the snow (with a bundle of firewood and some cans of soup).
People in Chicago shiver and constantly talk about the weather and the cold. Yeah - it's almost January in Chicago.
Do people on Anchorage complain it's cold? Yeah dude - it's winter and you live in Alaska.
In reply to Datsun310Guy :
Transplanted Illinoisans in MS complain about the cold too. Pretty much every time it drops below 50.

Shut your sound! I do hate winter. Tib is sitting outside in the snow and I have a pile of parts to put on in the garage

Given the other troubles most people in Anchorage have run away from, cold is the least of their worries...
When I am in Prudhoe Bay, no one complains about the weather, beause it is about the Benjamins baby.

Technically anchorage isn't as cold s Chicago most winters. Now Fairbanks is another story. That place makes me cringe

My uncle moved to Anchorage from Chicago in the late '50s. He owned Anchorage Amusement and Vending in Anchorage, and the Polaris Bar and Hotel in Nome.
Every time he would come back to Chicago in the winter, he would complain how could it was here.

True Dat Real hot in the summer, as well.
But the biggest issue is the short days.

Sounds like you would have enjoyed partying with the Donners!
They were huge snowmobilers and 4x4 drovers? Huh, I had no idea!
