It's really not that bad if you're patient and can take all the precision measurements correctly. A lot of the tools shown aren't really necessary unless you're building axles every day. It's easily a weekend job, an experienced person could do one in an afternoon.

Still going to be cheaper for you to hunt down a good used rear though.

Taking it easy in Antigua right now. The woof had a bit of a health scare and hasn't been around lately. More detail when I have time. FYI, I think the best you can do on your stock carrier is 3.42 which would make a huge difference and you should be able to get for almost nothing from an s10.
