I went to a car show this weekend and, among a bunch of other cool stuff, was this Studebaker Zip Van. I'll post photos of some of the other cars, but I thought this one deserved its own thread.
The owner is a retired mailman. He's the guy in uniform with the badass beard.

There's one that looks just like that, except at about 2/3 scale, near my house. It's used as an auctioneer's platform; don't know if that was the original purpose or not.
It's smaller than it looks in these photos.
i love it when people keep things like that a live. that looks like a great setting for a car show is it a park

Sort of. It's an industrial park...

Had a mail truck in college. Slow as heck, but you could cram a whole lot of people and a keg into it, and no one cared about spilled beer. We used to watch the races at west bend at lime rock from lawn chairs on the roof. Of course, now I would need some help to get up on the roof......
This puts a whole new meaning into standing on the brakes.

Ah , yes. The stand up drive.
A whole new driving experience.
Sweet find--thanks for sharing. Without looking it up, anyone remember what the ZIP in ZIP code stands for?
